Manual billing workflow

How to find and download Firebase invoices

Open the Google Cloud Billing account linked to the Firebase project. Self-service accounts use Invoices; invoiced accounts use Payment status to retrieve the relevant billing document.

Step by step

Download the invoice from Firebase

  1. In Firebase, identify the Google Cloud project and linked Cloud Billing account.

  2. Open Google Cloud Console and switch to that billing account.

  3. For a self-service account, open Billing > Invoices; for an invoiced account, open Billing > Payment status.

  4. Select the correct month and download the available billing document.

Where historical invoices are stored

Google Cloud Console > select billing account > Billing > Invoices (self-service) or Payment status (invoiced)

Missing evidence

What to do if an invoice is missing

Confirm the Firebase project is linked to the selected Cloud Billing account and check whether the account receives statements or receipts instead of invoices.

Troubleshooting

Common retrieval problems

  • The wrong Cloud Billing account is selected.
  • Document type varies by country, payment profile, and billing arrangement.

Reconciliation

Match the invoice to a card or bank charge

  • Match the Cloud Billing account ID and billing period before using project-level usage.
  • Look for Firebase services within the broader Google Cloud line items.
