The evidence layer
Invoice collection proves the record; it is not the whole product.
Invoices confirm vendor identity, cost, currency, service period, and billing cadence even when the payment moved between a business card, transfer, or personal method.
Billproof links that evidence to the software record so costs and renewals remain reviewable instead of becoming detached spreadsheet totals.
- Forward new billing emails to a dedicated address.
- Upload historical PDFs when email is not available.
- Keep normalized fields linked to the original document.
- Surface an expected billing period with no corresponding invoice.
Workflow
How the review works
- 01
Route a vendor billing email or upload an existing invoice PDF.
- 02
Review the extracted vendor, totals, dates, and service period against the source.
- 03
Confirm the cadence and investigate any expected invoice that does not arrive.
Honest boundaries
What this page does not promise
- Extraction is assistive and may require review when a document is ambiguous.
- Not every vendor emails invoices automatically; some require portal retrieval.
- Billproof does not infer a missing invoice until there is enough cadence evidence.
Frequently asked questions
Questions before early access
Does Billproof need access to my Gmail inbox?
No Gmail content access is planned. The early workflow uses a dedicated billing address, forwarded email, and PDF upload.
Can it track invoices paid from a personal card?
The invoice evidence can belong to the same software record regardless of payment rail. Direct payment reconciliation is a separate capability and is not yet available for every source.
