Download the invoice from GitHub

Sign in to GitHub and identify whether the charge belongs to a personal account, organization, or enterprise.

Open that account's Settings and navigate to Billing & Licensing.

Select Payment history.

Find the payment by date and amount.

Use the download action under Receipt or Invoice and retain the document with the account name.

Check all personal, organization, and enterprise accounts you own, and confirm your billing-manager permissions. For Azure-billed purchases, check the linked Azure commerce record; otherwise contact GitHub Support.
Troubleshooting
Common retrieval problems
- The payment belongs to a different organization or enterprise.
- The user is an organization member but not an owner or billing manager.
- A connected Azure subscription changes where the underlying payment is reconciled.
Reconciliation
Match the invoice to a card or bank charge
- Match the billed account, payment date, amount, payment method, and receipt or invoice identifier.
- Separate fixed plan charges from monthly metered-product usage when totals vary.
