Missing evidence
What to do if an invoice is missing
Verify the Customers Portal profile linked to the purchase and ask the billing account manager for access. If a reseller sold the subscription, request the invoice from the reseller; otherwise contact GitLab Billing.
Troubleshooting
Common retrieval problems
- The GitLab.com login is not linked to the legacy Customers Portal profile.
- The user can administer a namespace but is not the billing account manager.
- A reseller, rather than GitLab, is the seller of record.
Reconciliation
Match the invoice to a card or bank charge
- Match the customer, subscription term, invoice number, currency, total, and payment receipt.
- Check seat changes or upgrades when a renewal-related amount differs from the base order.
One invoice recovered. How many are still missing?
Know which invoices are missing—not only where to look.
You just completed this workflow for GitLab. Billproof early access is being built to track expected invoices across every vendor and payment rail, so AmEx, ACH, bank transfers, and personal cards can all belong to one complete record.
Best fit: teams handling 10+ software vendors, especially across mixed payment methods.
