Manual billing workflow

How to find and download Datadog invoices

Open Plan & Usage → Billing History. Card customers can retrieve receipts there and request invoice copies from Datadog Billing; invoiced customers should also check the designated billing email.

Step by step

Download the invoice from Datadog

  1. 01

Sign in to the parent Datadog organization used for billing.

  2. 02

Open Plan & Usage and select Billing History.

  3. 03

Find the billing month and review the receipt or history entry.

  4. 04

If the account pays by invoice, check the configured billing email addresses for the emailed invoice.

  5. 05

Email Datadog Billing for an additional invoice copy when the portal only provides a receipt.

  6. 06

Use Bill Overview or Cost Details CSV to support product-level reconciliation.

Missing evidence

What to do if an invoice is missing

Verify the payment method, parent organization, Billing Read permission, and billing contacts. Request a copy from billing@datadoghq.com if the invoice was not delivered.

Troubleshooting

Common retrieval problems

  • A card-paying customer expects an invoice in the same place as portal receipts.
  • The user is in a child organization rather than the parent billing organization.
  • Partner-managed billing removes some subscription detail from Datadog.

Reconciliation

Match the invoice to a card or bank charge

  • Match the organization, invoice or receipt period, currency, amount, and payment method.
  • Compare finalized invoice totals with Bill Overview or cost-detail exports; estimated month-to-date values can change.
