Missing evidence
What to do if an invoice is missing
Confirm the user has the Manage Billing or Manage Subscriptions in Your Account permission set, verify the correct customer account, and check the Billing Portal or contact the Salesforce billing contact if the invoice is not listed.
Troubleshooting
Common retrieval problems
- The user has Salesforce admin access but not the separate Your Account billing permission.
- The invoice list is filtered to the wrong view.
- The user is viewing a different Salesforce customer account.
- A credit memo is not saved alongside the invoice it adjusts.
Reconciliation
Match the invoice to a card or bank charge
- Match by invoice number, contract, due date, and total.
- Apply credit memos before comparing the net payable amount to a bank payment.
- Use the contract's stated billing schedule when a payment date does not align with the service period.
