Manual billing workflow

How to find and download Snowflake invoices

For an On Demand account, open Snowsight > Admin > Billing, select the Snowflake billing tab and Invoices, then view or download the invoice.

Step by step

Download the invoice from Snowflake

  1. 01

Confirm that the Snowflake customer is billed On Demand rather than through a capacity contract.

  2. 02

Sign in to Snowsight with the required organization billing roles.

  3. 03

    Open Admin > Billing.

  4. 04

Select the Snowflake billing tab, then Invoices.

  5. 05

Choose the required period and download the invoice.

  6. 06

Retrieve the monthly usage statement and query Organization Usage billing views when usage reconciliation needs more detail.

Missing evidence

What to do if an invoice is missing

Verify the account is On Demand, switch to the organization account or an ORGADMIN-enabled account, confirm the GLOBALORGADMIN or ACCOUNTADMIN plus ORGADMIN roles, and use the Snowflake account team for capacity-contract invoices.

Troubleshooting

Common retrieval problems

  • A capacity-contract customer expects the On Demand invoice workflow.
  • The user is in an account without ORGADMIN enabled.
  • ACCOUNTADMIN is present without the required ORGADMIN role.
  • A usage statement is treated as the payable invoice.

Reconciliation

Match the invoice to a card or bank charge

  • Match organization, billing period, and invoice total.
  • Reconcile compute, storage, and data-transfer usage separately before summing to the invoice.
  • Use the monthly usage statement and Organization Usage views to explain consumption, while retaining the invoice as payment evidence.
