Missing evidence
What to do if an invoice is missing
Confirm the correct Mailchimp account and billing contact, search for the automatically emailed receipt, widen the Billing history date filter, and contact Mailchimp support from a paid account if the purchase is still absent.
Troubleshooting
Common retrieval problems
- The user expects a document labelled invoice rather than Mailchimp's receipt.
- The Billing history date filter excludes the purchase.
- The purchase belongs to another Mailchimp account.
- A contact-tier change causes a monthly amount to differ from the prior month.
Reconciliation
Match the invoice to a card or bank charge
- Match the order number, transaction timestamp, and total.
- Review plan size, contact count, Pay As You Go credits, add-ons, and discounts before flagging a variance.
- Use the Payment section to confirm the payment method used for the purchase.
